We are 110% committed to making every effort to ensure the safety and security of every child and team member at Favorite Time Academy. We recognize the importance of providing peace of mind for the parents of the children in our care. We are very conscious of the need to provide a safe and secure environment and have policies, procedures, and audits to monitor and ensure compliance. Favorite Time Academy has taken additional precautions to include an alarm system that is fully monitored for fire and medical emergencies, video surveillance of each room, and controlled access inside and outside the front door. We also have remote and hard wired panic alarm buttons that send direct notice to law enforcement in the event of an emergency. Additionally, our leadership team monitors each classroom through observation windows throughout the day.

The “Controlled Access System” limits the entry of individuals other than staff and parents without our knowledge and permission. Parents are provided with a “key code” that releases the door to allow easy access. Individuals, other than parents, are required to ring the “doorbell” and gain access through a team member. As another safety measure, the codes are routinely changed. A magnetic lock security system, releases the door from the inside only when a parent pushes a button, preventing children from exiting the center without permission.

The safety and wellbeing of each child in the class room and on the play ground is another area where we go the extra mile. As such, we continue to train and review procedures with team members regarding safety and security. Safety audits are routinely done to check the equipments' condition. We continue to update our procedures and policies as we discover ways to minimize injuries and accidents. All team members receive both CPR and first aid training.

Security Cameras with DVR Recording

Favorite Time Academy provides 24-Hour video surveillance system of our classrooms. This DVR system records all room simultaneously to a computer hard drive. Several cameras also record select areas on our playgrounds and parking lot. The cameras also include low light vision for nap times. A large LCD Monitor is viewable in the Coach's office that allows all rooms to be viewed simultaneously or in different size frames.

There are many benefits from this technology. It's more than a marketing tool! The recording and functionality of our system is a great tool for class room observations, training, staff development, and incident/accident fact finding. We believe this investment is worth every penny to ensure that we are doing all we can to keep children and staff in a safe, healthy, and fun learning environment. Beware, some childcare systems only monitor rooms with no recording and have limited, if any, functionality worth having other than marketing.
