Favorite Time Academy’s Pre-K 4 Favorite Steps℠ program is based on The Creative Curriculum for Pre-School, developed by Teaching Strategies, Inc. This creative and innovative method of teaching is used in the highest quality schools and centers across the United States, Canada, and Australia. Children gain self-confidence as they independently explore special learning centers, Favorite Zones℠, for dramatic play, math, creative art, science, reading, pre-writing, music, and computers. Our preschoolers will be introduced to a variety of concepts including “the awareness of cause and effect relationships”, pro-social behavior, cognitive skills like logical thinking and problem solving, and language art skills such as story telling, pre-reading, pre-writing skills, and listening comprehension. Our curriculum is designed for hands-on experiences and explorations to help promote learning through the use of language, music, art, games, storytelling, fine & gross motor activities and cognitive activities. Our caring and knowledgeable teachers along with our degreed Team Coach, Elizabeth Walker, Owner, are passionate in creating lesson plans to incorporate all of the key learning experiences of early childhood education.
Favorite Time Academy also incorporates computers and educational software in our Pre-K Program curriculum, along with more advanced music, art, and Spanish language program. Our specially designed playground as well as our water park provides the much needed physical outlet for these very busy young children and will continue to provide the opportunity for fun and camaraderie in an exciting outdoor setting.
