What we believe…

images1We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired and authoritative Word of God and is infallible, inerrant, and without any contradiction.   (2 Timothy 3:15; 2 Peter 1:19-21, Hebrews 1:1, Psalms 119:160).

We believe that the Bible is more relevant today than any present or future publication or broadcast of any kind. The Bible is as relevant today as the day it was written.   (Romans 15:4, Hebrews 4:12)

We believe that there is one Triune God who created the universe, existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Genesis 1:1, 26-27, Genesis 2:7, Colossians 16-17, Deuteronomy 6:4, Jeremiah 10:10, Matthew 3: 16-17, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 10:30)

We believe man was created in the image of God in perfect relationship and fellowship with God until Adam sinned.  Sin and death entered the world when Adam sinned; and by Adam’s sin, sin and death passed upon all mankind.  All mankind have sinned.  (Romans 5:8, Isaiah 59: 1-2, 64:6,  Psalms 14:3, 53:3,  Romans 3:23,  Ephesians 4:7-16, Romans 5:12)

We believe that just as there is a real heaven and real hell.   A person will be eternal separated from God and cast into Hell apart from receiving God’s gift and remedy, Jesus Christ. Everyone will exist eternally either in heaven or hell.  (Matthew 25:46, John 5:28, John 3:16, Romans 10: 9, 13, Daniel 12:2,3, Revelation 20:14,15)

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, meaning Jesus Is God Incarnate (John 10:33) and believe in:

  •    His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35),
  •    His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26),
  •    His miracles (John 2:11),
  •    His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9),
  •    His resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4),
  •    His ascension to the right hand of God (Mark 16:19),
  •    His role as our High Priest, Advocate, and Intercessor (Hebrews 4:14, 8:24, I John 2:1)
  •    His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).

We believe eternal salvation is repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Salvation only comes through faith in Jesus Christ and cannot be earned as it is a gift from God. To be saved, one must be born again.  This new spiritual birth is instantaneous the moment one accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior. (Acts 20:21, John 3:3, Acts 2:21,  5:24, II Corinthians 5 17, I John 5 1, John 3 16-19, 5:24, 6:40, Hebrews 2: 14-17, Romans 5:8-9, Romans 10:9,13 Galatians 2:16, Ephesians 2: 8-10, Philippians 3: 9, Titus 3:5-7)

We believe the born-again Christian is eternally secure and cannot lose their salvation.   (John 10:29, Romans 8:35-39, Ephesians 1:13, I John 5:13)

We believe in the moment by moment ministry and indwelling of the Holy Spirit that enables Christian is to live a godly life (John 14:26,15:26, Matthew 5: 14-16, Acts 1:8, Romans 8:13-14; 1, 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18)

We believe we are only able to love God and our neighbor because He first loved us.  Through our deeper understanding and experience of God’s love, we grow in his calling to pursue holiness and righteousness and love for others.  (I John 4:10, John 3:16, Romans 5:8, II Corinthians 6:14, 7:1, I Thessalonians 1:9-10, I Timothy 6:3-5)

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.   (Romans 8: 9, Ephesians 4:11-16, Hebrews 2:11, I Corinthians 12: 12-13, Galatians 3:26-28)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection to the resurrection of damnation (John    5:28-29, Matthew 25:41, I Thessalonians 4:13, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Revelations 20: 11-15).

We believe parents have the primary responsibility to teach their children about God’s Word and His unconditional love.  (Deuteronomy 4: 9, 6: 5-9, Proverbs 1: 8, Ephesians 6: 1-4, Psalms 78: 5-8)

Please note that the above belief statements do not by any means exhaust the substance of our faith which includes the whole Word of God.
